RT Nominee for 2006 Folk Awards! VOTE!
Richard Thompson is one of the 2006 Folk Award nominees for
the Best Live Act Category!
The winners will be chosen by a panel of professionals, and
the awards will be announced and presented at the
prestigious BBC Folk Awards 2006 event held at The Brewery,
London on Monday February 6th 2006.
AUDIENCE VOTE
This year the public is asked to vote on the Most
Influential Folk Album Of All Time. Make your views known
on BBC 2's voting page until the end of December.
This can be any recorded album which, in one way or
another, you feel has made the biggest impact on the
audience, singers and musicians of the UK folk revival -
the album which altered or broadened the course of the
music, kick-started a new movement or was simply
inspirational to a large number of people.
WIN TICKETS!
Vote online and you could be joining Radio 2 at the Folk
Awards in February. All entries will be put into a draw.
The winner will receive a pair of tickets and accommodation
for the evening of the Folk Awards, which will take place
at The Brewery, London on February 6th 2006.
